What this site measures.
It is a portfolio, not a product. The short version: I can see that people visit and roughly where from, and I cannot see who you are.
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits. It records the pages viewed, the site or link that referred you, an approximate location from your IP address, your browser and device type, the time of the visit, and whether you clicked through to email me, book a call or open LinkedIn. That data is aggregated - it tells me that fourteen people read a case study on Tuesday, not which fourteen.
It does not record your screen, your keystrokes, or anything you type. There is no advertising on this site, and I have not linked this data to Google Ads or enabled ad personalisation. Nothing is sold, and there is no mailing list to be added to.
Google Analytics sets cookies so a returning visitor is not counted twice, and your IP address is anonymised before it is stored. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, the script is never loaded and nothing is recorded at all. Blocking cookies or using a content blocker also stops it, and the site works exactly the same either way.
Case study pages embed video from YouTube's no-cookie domain, which means YouTube receives nothing until you press play. That is why this site has no cookie banner.
